Christmas Train...

The "North Pole" was awesome. The kids loved seeing Santa and Kennedy even saw her name on the nice list.

Getting back on the train!
A few weeks ago Jay and I and the kids were out looking at Christmas lights when we came across this neighborhood of houses. There were lots of pictures of Christ, which was way cool; then we noticed a little train driving around. Of course, Hunter wanted to go on the train, so we asked how/ if we could. It is something done by the people in this neighborhood. It is free (they accept donations) and was SO worth going. The "Polar Express" takes a trip up to the North Pole to visit Santa and then ties Santa into Jesus Christ- the true gift of Christmas. Then the train takes you past pictures of Christ's life, it was a pretty a awesome experience, and I felt that this more than anything else yet helped the kids to understand what Christmas really is (should be) all about.

that's cool. Where is that neighborhood? We were looking for lights but can't seem to find much of anything this year. I don't know if it's the economy or if it was too warm for too long that people forgot to hang lights.
